Putnam County Courthouse Holds Open House
On September 12th the Putnam County Board of Trustees and the Courts held an Open House to acknowledge the renovation and restoration accomplishments made recently to the Law Library and the Jury-Board Room, located on the second floor of the Courthouse. Honorable Scott A. Shore, Putnam County’s Resident Circuit Judge, presided over the commemoration of improvements and new furnishings.
Putnam County Board Chairman Duane Calbow welcomed the large crowd in attendance. "Thanks for coming to one of the oldest Courthouses, and, I believe the most beautiful anywhere in the State of Illinois only because of the great people of Putnam County who contributed and worked hard to keep this courthouse the way it is. I know there are a lot of people who come here to the Courthouse and leave with awe."
