Spring Comes to Hennepin Wetlands

The plants and wildlife at the Sue and Wes Dixon Waterfowl Refuge and Hennepin-Hopper Lakes in rural Hennepin are thriving with the arrival of spring. The observation tower and the nearly-completed boardwalk offer nature enthusiasts a chance to soak in the sights and enjoy the nice weather. The lakes are closed to fishing because of a carp-removal effort but are not closed to photographers or hikers this year.
