Wetlands to Receive Award Set for Aug. 8
Hennepin and Hopper Lakes will be officially recognized and dedicated later this summer as Wetlands of International Importance.
Schedule of Events:
Aug. 8, Dixon refuge at Hennepin and Hopper Lakes south of Hennepin. This is a joint celebration and dedication of the Dixonand Emiquon refuges as Wetlands of International Importance.
The official dedication ceremony, which will be Webcast live, will be 2:30-3 p.m.
A refuge celebration, reception and celebratory activities will be 3-4:30 p.m.
