Putnam County Sheriff Warns of Scams
Putnam County Sheriff Kevin Doyle would like to warn citizens of scams going around the county.
Sheriff Doyle advises that if someone comes to your home soliciting various types of services such as blacktop sealing, roof repair, chimney repair, etc., it is important to check them out.
Most reputable businesses do not solicit door to door. Ask for a business card and if at all possible, get a license plate number and call the Putnam County Sheriff's Office at 815-925-7015.
