Hennepin Board Has Moment of Silence for Jack Grant

Hennepin Village Board observed a moment of silence Wednesday for Jack Grant, a Hennepin resident and former village president, who died Tuesday at the age of 67.


In other news, the village board was asked by resident Rob Spratt for permission to have a 5-kilometer run for suicide prevention the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend.

“I think it’s an excellent idea,” board member Paul Miskowiec said.

Spratt was encouraged to update the board with details closer to the date.

“It’s a nice idea,” village president Kevin Coleman said.

In other news:

  • The board said there will be a Jan. 14 meeting for a Hennepin Business and Betterment Association membership drive.
  • Coleman reminded residents to keep vehicles off the street when there is more than two inches of snow.
  • The last day to turn in petitions for the upcoming election is Dec. 26.
