Free Boat Safety Checks This Spring
The U.S. Coast Auxiliary has scheduled free boat checks this spring on the Illinois River and Lake Shabbona.
The inspections will check compliance with state and federal boating regulations; check safety equipment for operation and condition; mechanical problems; and registration and documentation. There will be no legal obligations or penalties and examiners will provide options for correcting problems.
