Crash Leaves Car Standing Up Against Heavy Equipment

A car exited the roadway of Old Route 26 in Hennepin, and traveled down the embankment, before striking a truck and coming to rest vertically inside the arm of Caterpillar hi hoe on the property of Central Illinois Equipment Sales.
Business owner Derek Liles said the extent of damage won’t be known until the car is removed and the machinery, as well as a truck pm the lot, can be checked fully.
A release with further information is forthcoming from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department.
